Abstract:

The Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry, alongside the Minister of State for Industry, Hon. Rev. Fr. Simon Lokodo, visited the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI), where they were guided by the Executive Director through a display of the institute’s locally manufactured products. This featured feature highlights key updates within the sector, including achievements under the Technical Support for Economic Partnership Agreement Finalization (TSEPAP) project and progress made by the Internal Trade Department regarding the National Trade Policy. Additionally, this issue explores the future of global trade, key challenges and opportunities, the role of the Warehouse Receipt System in agricultural commodity marketing, critical insights into e-security, and an official introduction welcoming the Ministry’s new leadership.
